Job Title:FVP, Financial EngineerLocation:CA - Westlake VillageWhat you'll do:We are seeking a Senior Financial Engineer to join our Capital Market's Analytics Team. The Analytics team works closely with the firm's trading desk and is responsible for building and maintaining the firm's core financial and optimization models and providing analytical support for trading and hedging. As part of AmeriHome's Analytics team, the ideal candidate will have previously demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast paced trading environment, possess 3+ years of relevant work experience, a strong educational track record, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also need to be very comfortable working with large amounts of data, be able to think critically, be detail oriented, and exhibit a terrific work ethic.What we are looking for: --- Create, maintain, and deliver quantitative processes including data mining, predictive modeling, and other complex data processing.--- Utilize complex quantitative software to manage the pipeline and servicing positions, risk analyses, hedge strategies, and market data.--- Design, develop, and maintain tools for the firm's trading desks to support bidding, hedging, pooling, and other analyses.What you need to have:--- Requires both (i) a degree in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or some other technically rigorous curriculum and (ii) 3+ years of work experience in quantitative finance.--- Previous support of trading desks or knowledge of fixed income trading, mortgage banking or correspondent lending a plus.--- Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner (both verbally and in writing).--- Requires a strong background in C#, SQL Server, Excel and Excel VBA.--- Experience with statistical analysis, including the use of tools like R or Python, a plus.--- Experience manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.--- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $139,530.00 - $172,360.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location.
