Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Rehab Aide primary functions include departmental and equipment
maintenance, clerical duties, assisting in patient treatment, and
other activities as directed. The Rehab Aide may be assigned
to/rotated between clinical areas in inpatient (IP) or outpatient
(OP) care as well as weekend/holiday coverage, as needed.
Salary range: 23.65-26.44 hourly

* Some working experience in hospital setting and/or Therapy
setting preferred
* Valid BLS certification from AHA or ARC
* Ability to safely perform repetitive bending, stooping,
squatting, standing, sitting during an eight to ten-hour day.
Normal duties involve frequent lifting (up to 35 pounds),
transferring patients, pushing a wheelchair up to 500 feet.
* Sufficient dexterity and strength to perform standard duties
including assisting in patient care, documentation and equipment
use.
* Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff from
varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
* Ability to work as a member of the team, including sharing
knowledge, giving and receiving feedback, taking initiative to
assist others, problem solving and providing an atmosphere
conducive to learning.
* Skill in working in distracting, pressured environments with
flexibility, good concentration, minimal supervision, and frequent
interruptions
* Skill in working independently and following through on
assignments with minimal direction
* More than 2 years of relevant rehab aide experience qualifies for
Rehab Aide 2 title
As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a
conditional offer of employment will be required to disclose if
they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial
decisions within the last seven years determining that they
committed any misconduct; received notice of any allegations or are
currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary
proceedings involving misconduct; have left a position after
receiving notice of allegations or while under investigation in an
administrative or disciplinary proceeding involving misconduct; or
have filed an appeal of a finding of misconduct with a previous
employer.
